<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nAmy and Joel Boyter<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Amy and Joel are part of a team developing new and creative ways to use media tools along with the JESUS film to stimulate spiritual movements everywhere. They work at the JESUS Film Project headquarters in Orlando, Florida where the Master Studio is located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The JESUS Film Project<\/a> distributes the film JESUS<\/i>, a two-hour docudrama about the life of Christ based on the Gospel of Luke. The goal of The JESUS Film Project is to help share Jesus with everyone in his or her own heart language using media tools and movement building strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The film has been seen in every country of the world and translated into over 2000 languages since its initial release in 1979. Our goal is to reach every nation, tribe, people and tongue, helping them see and hear the story of Jesus in a language they can understand. So whether a person speaks Swahili, French, or a language whose name is extremely difficult for most to pronounce, he or she will encounter the life and message of Jesus in a language “of the heart.” ———————————————————————————————————–<\/p>\n\n\n\n When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be a few hours to several days. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait \u2013 a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The mission of Isaiah 117 House is threefold:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n ————————————————————————————————–<\/p>\n\n\n International Disaster Emergency Service <\/span><\/strong> The International Disaster Emergency Service, IDES, began in 1973 by Milton Bates who was led by the Holy Spirit to organize the Christian Church\/Church of Christ congregations to meet the physical needs of people who had experienced some type of disaster situation. One individual, or even one congregation, could not always make a significant contribution. But if the churches pooled resources, we should be able to offer a sizeable gift that would really make a difference and strengthen the witness of Christians trying to work in these depressed areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fascinating story and history of IDES can be found on the website, www.ides.org\/history<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n From those humble beginnings, now many receive a gift that \u201cmakes a difference and strengthens the witness of Christians.\u201d Wells are dug to give the missionary opportunity to teach about the Living Water. Food is given to open hearts to the Bread of Life. Lives are changed as blankets and medicines are given in the name of Jesus. Houses are built to provide shelter for families, and they experience the warmth of being part of the family of God. God’s love is demonstrated not just with words, but with deeds and in truth. Ephesians 3:20, 21 say, “Now glory be to God! By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. May He be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. What began as a ministry to Brazilian and Portuguese communities in New England has grown into a movement reaching the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe\u2014partnering with local believers to plant churches, train leaders, and build sustainable, Gospel-centered communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Driven by the truth that language connects hearts and cultures, our mission is summed up in this call: One Language. One Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NewCycle, (An entrepreneurship rooted in integrity and stewardship) also sponsors an educational outreach to groups of school-age children in two separate regional shanty towns. The strategy is to begin with a weekly visit led by local volunteers that includes singing, lessons, and crafts. \u00a0After building relationships with the children, their parents, and the shanty town leaders, they then measure the viability of turning that outreach into a full-time informal school that is led by teachers who meet with the children for the entire week. In this setting, the children learn math, English, history, art, and other subjects of interest. One more step completes NewCycle\u2019s ultimate vision of facilitating local pastors to partner with them through prayer meetings and worship services. \u00a0Building on the relationships formed through other outreaches, the shanty town\u2019s parents and leaders are invited to meet for prayer and fellowship. This strategy was implemented over ten years ago through another educational outreach, resulting in a thriving church community. \u00a0Currently, another group of seekers is taking shape with NewCycle\u2019s present outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ———————————————————————————————<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0As you can see, LSCC is very involved in spreading the Word of God, supporting both traditional local missions and contemporary (the Jesus Film Project) methods.\u00a0 We believe that \u201cfaith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God\u201d (Romans 10: 17). Many mission experts have acclaimed the JESUS<\/i> film as one of the greatest evangelistic success stories of all time. The ultimate success of this project won’t be measured by how many people have already seen it, but by how many will follow Him after seeing this film.
